Here at Rainbow, we apply a winning combination of industry-respected curriculums. This balance provides children with a dynamic, well-rounded system by which to achieve developmental and academic objectives. Our skilled and compassionate teachers create lesson plans and use assessment results to guide their teaching and activities. Each classroom lesson plan is available at the class’ Info Board for parents to review. These lesson plans contain fun, challenging, and exciting learning experiences for your child.

Infant / Toddler: At this age, children expand their curiosity and begin to explore the world around them by using their new gross motor skills (crawling and walking). Our qualified teachers use “The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers & Twos” to create daily routines and miningful experiences that develop children’s strengths, interests, and needs.

Early Childhood (3 Years old): At this age, children explore ways to become independent. By providing proper supervision, our teachers’ role is to support the child’s desire to do things by themselves. Our classrooms are organized into learning centers: dramatic play, blocks, art, science, writing and reading. At this age, our teachers focus on preparing all children to succeed in school – and in life by using “The Creative Curriculum for Preschool”.

PreK4: At this age children are more independent and able to manipulate their environment. As they grow, they are able to understand other points of view. Our classrooms are organized into learning centers: dramatic play, blocks, art, science, writing and reading. At Rainbow, we use Star Fall 2nd Edition Curriculum for our PreK4 classroom. This 25-week program integrates math, science, health, creative arts, social studies, physical movement, early literacy, and social-emotional development, all under a framework of guided instruction and imaginative play. This program includes research-based lessons, tools, and classroom setup including wall cards, instructional cards, and posters plus original Starfall fiction and nonfiction literature that match concepts discussed throughout the year. We provide all the basics needed to give children a running start in Kindergarten.
